BOTH councils in Penang have received almost RM2mil from the state to do cleaning works in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

State local government committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said the amount was part of the state’s RM10mil allocated for cleaning and acquiring of equipment under its RM75mil economic stimulus package announced last month.
