The first centre is at Kemuyang Youth Camp which is about 2km from SDPC.
Sibu Division Resident Charles Siaw said the centre at SDPC was opened for use on April 1.
“This centre can accommodate up to 60 patients. We are grateful to the church for allowing us to use the place,” he said.
On another matter, Siaw, who is also chairman of the Sibu district disaster committee, said a group of farmers here have been donating vegetables to the needy.
“They send the vegetables to a distribution centre and volunteers from non-governmental organisations then give them out to the needy,” he said.
