Elderly folk living in Jinjang Utara, Kepong affected by wet market closure

The wet market in Jinjang Utara, Kepong deserted following DBKL’s instructions to close on March 27.

THE closure of the wet market in Jinjang Utara in Kepong following the second movement control order (MCO) has nearby residents worried about losing their place to shop for food supplies.

But the closure also raises another concern as this would force more people to flock to supermarkets which defeated the purpose of the MCO, said Kepong Community Service Centre head Yee Poh Ping.
