Uniting M’sians during MCO with fly-the-flag campaign

Kamarulzaman urges Malaysians to show solidarity with frontliners during the MCO by flying the Jalur Gemilang.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has launched its “Kibar Jalur Gemilang” campaign as its way of showing solidarity with Malaysians as the country combats Covid-19.

KTMB chief executive officer Datuk Kamarulzaman Zainal said this was part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to raise awareness and demonstrate its support towards the government efforts.

“We hope that the campaign will encourage the spirit of patriotism and boost morale among the people, especially the frontline warriors who are still struggling to prevent the spread of the epidemic, ” he said in a statement.

The Jalur Gemilang has been raised at the company’s headquarters on Jalan Sultan Hishammuddin in Kuala Lumpur. He added that the flag would also be raised at all KTMB stations throughout peninsular Malaysia.

“I encourage those who are currently undergoing the movement control order (MCO) to answer this call.“It can be done easily by using the Jalur Gemilang image as an icon or sticker in WhatsApp as well as other social media platforms, ” he said.
