JOHOR BARU: The public have been advised to be careful when purchasing face masks online as there has been a spike in the number of scams in the state.

State police commercial crime investigations department chief Asst Comm Mohd Salleh Abdullah said from February to March this year, the number of scams involving the sale of face masks has increased from 33 cases to 45 cases – an increase of 36.4%.ACP Mohd Salleh says people should stay away from online offers that are too good to be true.ACP Mohd Salleh says people should stay away from online offers that are too good to be true.
