Stay healthy during MCO, public told

JOHOR BARU: The public must eat a healthy and balanced diet while staying at home during the movement control order (MCO).

Johor Health Department director Dr Aman Rabu said they must ensure to eat well and exercise at home to take care of their health and prevent problems.

“Do not overeat and keep fit at home, ” he said.

Dr Aman said that personal hygiene and staying physically and mentally healthy were important elements in fighting the pandemic.

The Johor government has set up three special channels for the public to donate essential items, including cash to help those affected by Covid-19.

State health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan thanked all those who had donated to the Johor Disaster Fund.

He said those who wished to donate essential items could contact the state Welfare Department while those wanting to channel cash aid could contact the Johor state secretary’s office.

“Those who want to donate medical equipment to health facilities can contact the Johor Health Department at 07-238 2217 or 07-224 5211 between 8am and 5pm, ” he said.
