SIBU: The district police are taking measures to curb the Covid-19 pandemic by spraying disinfectant and sanitising three of its stations here.

The three stations are the central police station, Sungai Merah police station and Sibujaya police station.

Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the move was to ensure the safety of police officers as well as the public.

“The sanitisation measures are important as some visitors who come to the police station for various reasons may have been infected but are not aware.

“We want to do what we can to to prevent the spread of Covid-19, ” he said, adding that police personnel from all three stations were carrying out the spraying of the disinfectant.
