A POPULAR shopping centre in Petaling Jaya has taken a step closer to being a green mall by commissioning an industrial food waste composting machine within its premises, a first for Malaysia.

The machine at 1 Utama shopping centre with a two-tonne capacity was unveiled to the public by Bandar Utama City Centre Sdn Bhd director Tan Sri Teo Chiang Kok.
