DORSETT Kuala Lumpur is partnering with iKarrtini by Kartini Illias to host an afternoon high-tea charity fashion show featuring Miss World Malaysia 2019 Alexis Sue-Ann Seow.

Slated for March 28, invitation to the event themed

“Heart 2 Heart: an event by women for women” is by donation of RM188 nett per person. The fashion show will feature Kartini’s 2020 collection.

Part of the proceeds will be channelled to OrphanCare Foundation, an organisation that looks out for the welfare of abandoned babies, underprivileged children and pregnant women.

OrphanCare was also Seow’s “Beauty with a Purpose” advocacy for the Miss World Finals 2019.

It was picked as one of the top initiatives from the projects submitted by Miss World contestants.

Seow said many were not aware that Malaysia had one of the highest rates of baby-dumping cases.

“That is why I wanted to raise awareness of this cause. Every child deserves a home, and OrphanCare helps babies get adopted and their mothers too,” she added.

Dorsett Kuala Lumpur general manager Adele Ang said corporate social responsibility was important to the hotel.

“We are really happy to be part of this cause,” she said.
