THE sun was blazing but sculptors working on the gopuram (rooftop tower) of the 90-year-old Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Temple along Jalan Berhala in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, soldiered on as they had a deadline to meet.
The two were putting the finishing touches to 16 statues of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu elephant god, that will adorn the gopuram area.
