RM7,000 ‘festive gift’ for old folks’ home

Home improvement retailer Mr DIY held a campaign called “You Share, We Donate”, pledging a RM1 donation to Green Pastures Senior Life Home with every share of its Chinese New Year commercial titled The Gifts Unnoticed.

The home in Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya, was featured in the commercial.

Mr DIY Group (M) Bhd marketing vice-president Andy Chin said, “Through this campaign, we were hoping to not only undertake a CSR initiative as a company, but also inspire others to do more for the community.

“I am elated that Malaysians came together to create 7,121 shares across social media and we will be making a donation of cash vouchers worth RM7,130 to the home.”

“We hope this campaign provided people some food for thought, and empowered them to step up and share their ‘gifts’ and blessings with those in need, ” he added.

The retailer also donated two boxes of daily supplies and RM1,000 worth of cash vouchers to the home.
