THE Human Resources Ministry and Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) jointly hosted a Meet-the-Customer-Day to build rapport with customers at Wisma HRDF.
The event was held in conjunction with Chinese New Year. It also enabled HRDF’s customer service team to gain a better understanding of customers’ perception and experience of its services and products.
HRDF’s customers include registered employers, training providers and the public.
Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Mahfuz Omar was guest-of-honour at the open house which saw 500 guests, including key personnel and representatives from various departments and agencies under the ministry.
Agencies such as the Skills Development Fund Corporation, the National Institute of Occupa-tional Safety and Health and the Social Security Organisation also had booths at the event.
“Festive celebrations such as these provide us with the opportunity to come together and bond. It is a reminder that our nation is home to many faiths and traditions and that our diversity is what makes us stronger.”
“I am also pleased to know that HRDF is committed to improving its customer experience through its Meet-the-Customers Day which is held every month, ” Mahfuz said in his speech.
HRDF chief executive officer Elanjelian Venugopal said: ”We organise the monthly Meet-the-Customers Day to enable our customers to address their concerns to us in person and to provide them with pertinent information.
“These little details are the ones customers recall even more than the services they receive from us.”
Mahfuz later handed a donation to Special Children Society of Ampang as part of HRDF’s corporate social responsibility initiative.
HRDF also donated essential items to the society.
