Year of the Rat greeted with cheer

GUESTS had a wonderful time during a Chinese New Year open house held at the bus parking lot near Penang Hill.

Some 500 people attended the event jointly organised by Air Putih assemblyman Lim Guan Eng and Bukit Bendera MP Wong Hon Wai.

They were treated to a sumptuous buffet dinner of Chinese and Malay delights and were entertained by an exciting dragon dance.

Other dances and musical performances added to the festive atmosphere.

Among those enjoying the CNY open house were several representatives, Penang Island City Council mayor Datuk Yew Tung Seang and Penang Hill Corporation general manager Cheok Lay Leng.
