NGO invites youths to take part in green projects

THE Junior Chamber International Malaysia (JCI) Sunway Damansara is holding its 2020’s Chapter Day plus second Installation and Award Ceremony on Feb 22 at Sunway Giza Mall in Petaling Jaya.

Guests will get to visit various booths at the event from 10am to 10pm.

JCI Sunway Damansara has completed several projects with many partners focused on educating and reversing environmental damage caused by using plastic material.

Over nine months, it managed to get support from 1,060 participants, 20 businesses and non-governmental organisations (NGO) to work together to oversee these projects.

This year JCI Sunway Damansara flagship projects are Ocean Today; Business Incubation, to help turn business ideas into profit; and A New Hope, to address social issues such as stress, school bullies and disadvantaged group.

“There must be someone to stand up for the greater good. Enough talk, we need real action, we need impactful actions, ” said JCI Sunway Damansara president YC Tan.

JCI Sunway Damansara is a non-profit organisation for youths to demonstrate their ability, explore their potential, expand their comfort zone and network with prestigious leaders all over the world.
