Food bank programme to feed the needy

KULAI: Some 800 students in higher learning education institutions in Johor will receive ready-to-eat food throughout the year under a food bank initiative by the Islamic Economic Development Foundation (Yapeim).

Johor education, health and human resources committee chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said students selected as recipients of the Food Bank Yapeim 1.0 programme were from underprivileged families.
