US PIZZA Malaysia staff members spread Chinese New Year happiness to residents of the Silver Jubilee Home by bringing them 40 pizzas and mushroom soup.

The delicious treat for the 167 residents of the home in Sungai Dua, Penang, was part of US Pizza’s corporate social responsibility programme for the Year of the Rat.

Also present was Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee Chun Kit, who represented state works committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari.

US Pizza executive director Lee Jyh Perng said goodie bags filled with ang pows, mandarin oranges and snacks were presented to the residents during the event.

“We also donated food and necessities to the home to help lessen its burden.

“A ‘lou sang’ using our new Yee Sang Pizza was later held with the residents and the staff of Silver Jubilee Home.

“They were also entertained by our Pizza Man mascot,” he added.

US Pizza started off with a small outlet in Penang in 1997.

Currently, the company has 15 branches nationwide in Penang, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
