PALACE of the Golden Horses hotel in Seri Kembangan is welcoming the Year of the Rat with special acrobatic lion dance performances.

Country Heights Holdings Bhd founder and executive chairman Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew said the acrobatic lion dance would be held at the hotel at 1pm every day until Feb 8 to promote Malaysia’s multicultural heritage.

“We hope people will enjoy the cultural performances, especially tourists from other countries.

“The Year of the Rat symbolises the beginning of the next 60 years according to the Chinese lunar calendar.

“From this year onwards, this will be our annual event for the next 60 years.

“We want people to see how local Chinese celebrate the new year, ” said Lee in his speech at the event.
