THE milkfish farming industry has the potential to create jobs and become a good source of revenue, especially for the rural community in Malaysia.

Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said the fish species, scientifically known as ‘Chanos chanos’, was also suitable for contract farming which also provides investment and business opportunities.
