Simplysiti president and founder Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin and Puan Sri Cecilia Lim, wife of Genting Malaysia Bhd chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, played host to paediatric heart patients from Institut Jantung Negara as well as their families at Resorts World Genting.

They were accompanied by more than 50 key opinion leaders, members of the media and other guests during the fun day in the highlands.

Five special children were selected for the outing held in conjunction with the “Simplysiti Di Hati 2019” campaign, namely Siah Wan Ying, Nurul Syamimi Ahmad Paridon, Auni Insyirah Muhammad Firdaus Hilmi, Nur Auni Mardhiyah Ahmad and Ramesh Rao.

All of them had recently recovered from heart complications at Institut Jantung Negara. For most of them, it was their first trip to Resorts World Genting.

A project close to Siti Nurhaliza’s heart, Simplysiti Di Hati was founded by the well-loved artiste with the aim to raise funds and most importantly, to spread love and joy to underprivileged children.

Since its conception in 2011, Simplysiti has managed to raise up to RM200,000 to finance the surgical costs of 14 underprivileged paediatric heart patients.

Having been successful in most of its campaigns, Simplysiti carried out another fundraiser recently to help the five paediatric heart patients, with IJN Foundation’s support.

The total amount raised through this campaign will be announced in early February.

Siti Nurhaliza said, “We are thankful that four of the young patients recovered in time for this event.

“One child is still recovering and we hope to bring him here another day.

“We would like to thank Resorts World Genting for sponsoring this outing. It means so much to these children and their families as they have not been to this resort.

“Dining at Ed’s Diner, playing at SkyTropolis and watching Imaginatricks are a dream come true for them. Our hearts go out to the less fortunate and we are grateful for the partners who support us.”

Lim added, “Resorts World Genting has so much to offer. We are more than happy to play host and we hope the children and their families will have a memorable experience.

“What Simplysiti Di Hati has initiated is commendable and we are pleased to work with Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza to make these children’s recovery a pleasant one.”

The 100 guests were treated to two shows at SkySymphony. They then enjoyed a sumptuous meal at the all-new Ed’s Diner from the United Kingdom where Lim gave out ang pow and goodie bags to the heart patients and guests.

The programme continued with a trip to SnowWorld and a thrilling experience at SkyTropolis.

After dinner at Coffee Terrace, the group enjoyed an adrenaline-pumping experience at Imaginatricks which is currently one of the best choreographed shows in Malaysia that includes acrobatics, dance and singing performances before calling it a day.
