Making sweet memories with radio deejays

FANS of 988 Chinese radio station were treated to a fun outing during its Sweet Sweet Good Year (Sweet Sweet Guo Hao Nian) Chinese New Year album promotional tour at Billion Mart in Silibin, Ipoh.

Those present played games with their favourite deejays, including Chan Fong, Cassey Soo, Cynthia Tan, Aaron Chen as well as Joycelyn Chu and walked away with prizes such as music albums and red packets.

The deejays played a fun game with the fans which involved using big chopsticks to pick up balls and place them in a box.

They also interacted with the audience, giving them a pop quiz and holding a lucky draw before the end of the event.

Fans had the opportunity to get autographs as well as take pictures and selfies with the popular deejays during the event.

The deejays performed several songs from the album, which was their 12th release since 2009. There are five songs on the album which features the vocal talents of the deejays.

One of the songs, It’s New Year (Xin Nian Yo), is featured in the station’s Chinese New Year movie A Moment Of Happiness (Xin Nian Tai Feng Kuang), which will be released in local cinemas on Jan 25.

The limited-edition Sweet Sweet Good Year album comes in a box set with a CD comprising five songs, a desktop calendar featuring all the 988 deejays and a packet of red envelopes designed with the year 2020 mascot Sugar.

The box set is selling for RM35 online and RM30 at roadshows.

Pre-orders for the Chinese New Year album may be made via the 988 store on Shopee.

The promotional tour’s next stop will be at Aeon Metro Prima, Kepong, at 1pm and Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur, at 7pm tomorrow.
