THE launch of The Perfect Wedding, Petronas’ final webfilm for its 2019 Anugerah Kita theme, was a perfect conclusion to close the chapter on the last decade.
Available for viewing on Petronas’ official YouTube channel, it features all the main characters from its previous webfilms in a story of love, unity and appreciation of the abundance of blessings that Malaysians experience.
The story which narrates how a deep bond can be formed despite differences, takes the audience through the preparation for a wedding ceremony where an unexpected turn of events catches everyone off guard, after which chaos ensues.
The multiracial guests and families then rally together to overcome the obstacle to hold the perfect wedding. The anugerah — or blessings — in The Perfect Wedding is the sense of togetherness with the webfilm celebrating the love and unity that Malaysians have for family, friends and neighbours.
It also wraps up the nostalgia and emotions from the Anugerah Kita theme, which promotes the message of social cohesion.
Petronas group strategic communications senior general manager Zahariah Abdul Rahman said, “As a responsible organisation,
we wish to remind people that blessings are aplenty and to be grateful for the blessings bestowed upon us, through the love and appreciation of our family and friends.
“We hope that through this and the rest of the Anugerah Kita webfilms, we are able to share our love story for Malaysia as well as celebrate our biggest anugerah yet — each other.”
The Perfect Wedding was the seventh and final Petronas webfilm for 2019, following the release of Heart in Time for Chinese New Year celebrations, Kinoulian for Kaamatan, Batu Burung Apai for Gawai, Rendang SoRaya for Hari Raya Aidilfitri, UNI for National and Malaysia Day as well as Thanggam for Deepavali.
