Run educates participants on importance of joint health

YSP INDUSTRIES (M) Sdn Bhd held its second Shine Health Run 2019 in Perdana Botanical Gardens, Kuala Lumpur with the theme “Join, Joint, Joy”.

The objective was to educate everyone on the importance of joint health.

The event not only attracted participants from within the country but also from Japan, Taiwan, Italy, the Netherlands and the Philippines.

The run successfully raised RM20,000 from participants’ registration and the company’s contribution. This amount was channelled to two charity organisations comprising Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor and Federal Territory and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor.

Each charity house received a total of RM10,000 from the organiser. YSP Industries senior marketing manager Ananda Prakash said as a pharmaceutical company, the

charity run was one of the company’s initiatives to give back to society while promoting a heathier lifestyle.

“The strong support and response from the public for not only the run but the activities of the day contributed to the success of the Shine Health Run 2019, ” he said.

There were many games with the theme “Down the Memory Lane” which included traditional games such as teng teng and hoola hoop.

Besides that, the crowd were served free flow of the Shine Milk Series drinks to quench their thirst after the run and were introduced to new recipes using the brand’s top-selling soy milk.

On top of that, there were free health checks, including bone density and cholesterol tests. Participants walked away with a goodie bag containing Shine Health & Food supplements.
