ICONIC Land Sdn Bhd celebrated the completion of Iconic Vue in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, with its property owners at a handover party.

The owners were treated to an ‘Under the Sea’ performance and an exciting show during the opening ceremony of the company’s first affordable housing project, which was completed six months ahead of schedule.

The recent party was attended by state executive councillor for environment, welfare and caring society, Phee Boon Poh.

Also present was Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee Chun Kit, representing Jagdeep Singh Deo, the executive councillor for local government, housing and town and country planning committee.

They joined the festivities along with the Iconic team comprising Iconic Group managing director Datuk Tan Kean Tet, Iconic Group executive directors James Tan and Katherine Tan, and Iconic Land Sdn Bhd executive director Jason Chung.

Chung celebrated with the owners and guests as they were served with an assorted seafood platter and a buffet dinner prepared by Iconic Hotel.

The company also arranged a lineup of performances while the children were kept busy with activities and games featuring an assortment of prizes up for grabs.

Some lucky owners took home prizes comprising electrical appliances and household products worth RM9,688.

Chung said the company was pleased with the success of Iconic Vue in Batu Ferringhi, adding that the decision to build the affordable project was for the benefit of Penangites who cannot afford luxury condominiums worth millions of ringgit in the area, which is not only famous in Penang and Malaysia, but also throughout the world.

A development located directly opposite Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa and Golden Sands Resort, Iconic Vue is worth a gross development value (GDV) of RM80.6mil.

It comprises 232 units, the lowest density affordable housing project in town starting from only RM300,000. Iconic Vue has since been fully sold out.

The development also features high-end building materials and facilities which are similar to condominium specifications.

Facilities include a seaview infinity pool, Jacuzzi, a wading pool, a gym, BBQ area, a yoga & aerobics room, a children’s playground, a giant chess set and a multi-purpose function room.
