When the lights go out

RECENTLY during a drive from my house in Desa Tebrau to Johor Baru city, which is about 16km away along Jalan Tebrau, my eight-year-old son asked an interesting question.

“Papa, do you know that between our house and your office, more than 20 streetlights are not working? Why have they not been fixed?” he asked.
