Bank bags prestigious award from credit card company

BANK Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has received the “Highest Payment Volume Growth for Consumer Debit” award from Visa Malaysia.

The award was presented by Visa country manager for Malaysia Ng Kong Boon to BSN chief business officer Mujibburrahman Abd Rashid at the bank’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

BSN recorded a sales breakthrough of 65.6%. The bank also saw an increase of 40% in the number of transactions, recording more than five million in total.

Introduced in December 2013, the BSN Visa debit card enables Malaysians to make payments seamlessly using Visa contactless payment technology.

It allows cardmembers to make cashless transactions for everyday spend categories in stores.

“As of September 2019, we have a total of 6.3 million debit cardholders. We are committed to serving our cardmembers to the best of our abilities by creating seamless and convenient payment experiences, and enabling them to win great prizes through attractive campaigns, ” said Mujibburrahman.
