CHECK out the great deals at Popular’s 13th Mega Bookfair at the Straits Quay Convention Centre from Nov 28 to Dec 8.

Open from 11am to 10pm daily, the fair offers not just enriching English, Chinese and Malay books but also stationery, CDs, DVDs, gadgets and IT items.

Members’ Day (Nov 28)

This privilege only for Popular card members offers first grabs at the many items on offer.

95th anniversary limited edition card and e-membership (Popular MY App)

Those who sign up will receive a Popular insulated lunch bag. A one-year card application will entitle members to a Pilot Juice Up gel pen. Sign up for, renew or convert to the Popular MY App to also receive a RM5 e-voucher.

Rebates

Enjoy a 25% rebate when you purchase at least two English books and a 20% rebate on Chinese and Malay books (except assessment materials), Robin products and net-priced items. A 40% rebate applies to selected Chinese books when you buy at least three titles.

Foreign authors sessions

Taiwanese travel journalist Peter Su appears on Nov 28 (7.30pm to 9.30pm) to talk about his latest book. Taiwanese writer Huang Mu Cun appears on Nov 29 (7.30pm to 9.30pm) to talk about self-recovery while Hong Kong writer Bu Xiu will share his views on Chinese literature on Dec 1 (7.30pm to 9.30pm).

Local authors sessions

On Dec 1, meet Feng Shui consultant Jane Hor (1pm to 1.45pm) and comic artist Fang Mei (2pm to 2.45pm). On Dec 7, join novelists Niu Xiao Liu, Teng Guang and Gin (3pm to 3.45pm), entrepreneur Leow Leik Hong (4pm to 4.45pm) and Pinko comic artists Qin and Chang Jing (5pm to 5.45pm).
