ATRIA Shopping Gallery in Damansara Jaya was the venue for the Makan Fun Run 3.0.

Initially scheduled for Sept 15, the run was postponed to Nov 17 due to the haze.

Participants gathered for a warm-up session led by CHi Fitness instructors before the official flag-off by Bandar Utama assemblyman Jamaliah Jamaluddin.

Also present at the starting point in front of Atria’s south entrance were Petaling Jaya City Council councillor Quratulain Atiqah Norzahirul Anuar, OSK Holdings Bhd deputy group managing director Ong Ju Xing, Atria assistant general manager (leasing) Abby Choo and Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd Marketing Innovation Department general manager Chew Keng Heng.

True to its Malaysia Day theme, participants got to experience various fun activities at the pit stops along the 5km route that showcased Malaysia’s diversity, including receiving ketupat and dodol at one pit stop and meeting the Chinese God of Fortune in another.

At the finishing line, they were greeted with local delicacies such as curry puff and kuih-muih.

A selection of free breakfast vouchers ranging from nasi lemak, fried meehoon to kaya butter toast with soft-boiled eggs and RM10 Atria gift vouchers were also given to each participant.

They also went home with sponsored goodies from Ibumie, Lingham’s, Telly, Oyoshi, Sports Direct and Healing Touch.

Some lucky participants also walked away with lucky draw prizes worth a total of over RM20,000 sponsored by Panasonic and Boost.

There was also a photo booth for participants.
