RAINFOREST Pavilion happens in Le Noir KL’s Club tonight featuring Halim Ardie with Westseven.
Rainforest Pavilion is a charity event that harnesses the power of electronic music for good. Taking the power of electronic music and using it to its truest potential, Rainforest Pavilion raises funds and awareness for rainforest conservation while rocking dance floors across the world.
Rainforest Pavilion is the musical platform for DJs and activists to unite for environmentalism.
Brought to you by the Joy Collective, the Rainforest is a trusted brand with an innovative model for taking action on rainforest conservation.
It acts as a fundraising instrument by throwing exciting high production value events which raise funds that are put directly into rainforest conservation projects the team feels are the most pertinent.
Their team consists of artistes, activists, scientists, thought leaders and entrepreneurs of all ages and nationalities.
Their flagship event will held be at the seminal Wonderfruit Festival (from Dec 12 to 16) in Thailand, which is a pioneer in the region for building an ecologically-conscious, waste-free event.
This year’s installation will be their biggest to-date, working with prodigious designer Michael Russek.
Attendees at Wonderfruit have grown from 3,000 to 15,000 people in recent years and this year promises to be the biggest event to-date by a long shot.
Featuring for the night are DJ Halim Ardie (Rainforest Pavilion) and Westseven (Anjunadeep/ Soul De Anima).
California-born, Indonesian-bred Halim Ardie is a staple in the Bali house scene.
Splitting his time between hosting events in Bali, being an editor for Pulse Radio, and DJing, Halim has cemented his name as one of the most sought-after DJs in Indonesia, as well as coming up in the South-East Asia circuit, by being a part of the Joy Collective’s Rainforest Pavilion stage at the famous Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand.
He also represented Indonesia on the global stage at Burning Man in the United States with the Digital Dalang art installation that combined Indonesian heritage art with modern digital visual art and was awarded as an honorarium of the Burning Man Project.
In a current musical climate where originality can often be overtaken by the mundane and regular, Westseven’s tireless devotion and relentless energy have taken him to a point where he is beginning to shape the musical world around him.
With regular signings to Anjunadeep, productions out on Bedrock, Click, City Fox and What I Play, and his music being championed by the likes of John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Kolsch, Guy Gerber and Joris Voorn to name a few, 2018 (and 2019) gained much momentum. 2017 saw the birth of his own imprint, Soul de Anima, gaining plaudits the world over from the HQ in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
