Volunteers make it their duty to keep beach clean

Mersing: Pantai Mawar, which is a designated geopark here, is now a cleaner place after 1,272.2kg of rubbish was collected from its shores.

The Mersing International Coastal Cleanup (MICC) involved some 350 volunteers from numerous organisations in a bid to restore the beach’s natural beauty.
