Gamuda Gardens’ Waterfront Village is designed to sustain the community’s daily needs and is targeted to open in early 2020.

CREATING a good town involves more than just brick and mortar – it is also about mindful planning and bringing people together, to create a community that will look out for one another. Incorporating gathering places within the masterplan and investing upfront to create places for people to come together and know each other lay the foundations of a good town.

Embracing this development principle is Gamuda Land, a town-maker with deeply-rooted values in developing sustainable townships centred on community well-being. One of the new townships being developed with this principle is the 330ha Gamuda Gardens located in north Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

Carefully integrated into the township are two waterfalls and five cascading lakes set within a 20ha pet-friendly Central Park, surrounded by lush greenery, making it a well-balanced sanctuary for people, flora and fauna to call home.

Creating community spaces

Beyond just places to live in, people want to be a part of something bigger, a place where they can be part of a healthy community and enjoy being close to nature. The parks in Gamuda Gardens promote this notion. Nestled among the natural landscapes of native trees, lakes and waterfalls, the Central Park is one of the township’s main community gathering places featuring a jogging and cycling trail as well as designated pet-friendly areas and children’s play area for people to bond amidst nature.

At night, the Central Park takes on a different hue as Gardens of Lights illuminate the surrounding landscape’s natural beauty with lighting effects, providing the community a friendly place to enjoy dusk. One of the key highlights of the Gardens of Lights is Lake Illumination, featuring interactive lighting and water screen projection on the waterfall. Lake Illumination is a sight to behold for visitors at night.

Directly accessible from the Central Park and situated by the lakeside, the sprawling Waterfront Village is a place that further enunciates the value of community building. Opening in early 2020, the Waterfront Village houses retail, recreation and wellness, with tenants ranging from food outlets to convenience stores and a grocer. A lakeside wellness centre complete with facilities such as badminton courts, swimming pool, dance studio and more are mindfully added to the Waterfront Village to cater to the community’s health and wellness needs.

Along with the opening of the Waterfront Village, families will have more places to convene and play in. Rimba Waterplay, approximately 1,180sq m rainforest-themed water park located in the Waterfront Village, is set to open, catering to both adults and children. For football enthusiasts, a FIFA-sized football pitch is added into the township plan. Opening in December, the pitch will host social leagues and tournaments. Visitors can also enjoy live stream of football matches.

For weddings, parties and celebratory events, there is Le Gardens Pavilion, an exquisitely crafted event space in Central Park, available for residents to use all year round. The lush backdrop of nature makes it an ideal place for memorable photo shoot.

In the pipeline

Gamuda Gardens Mall, a 1 million sq ft regional entertainment mall is set to bring a different retail experience to the community. The mall combines retail and leisure all in one place.

Coupled with innovation and technology, the mall will engage visitors through immersive experiences compared to conventional retail spaces.

Integrated to the mall is the world-class Luge attraction which will be built on a 49,000sq m hill site overlooking the panoramic greenery of Gamuda Gardens, offering one of the world’s most exhilarating rides, the Skyline Luge, and adventure rides in the sky, the Skyline Zoom Ziplines.

The 600m tracks are designed with twists, turns and tunnels that will allow adventure seekers to race at a speed of up to 80km/h down the terrain.

The developer also consciously plans for a connected township with the completion of the Kuang Elevated Interchange System in 2017 and the widening plus upgrading works for route B29 leading into Gamuda Gardens, making it safer and more convenient for the surrounding community to visit the township.

With placemaking and connectivity delivered upfront, Gamuda Land paves the way for the arrival of its first group of community through the delivery of almost 600 homes in Precinct 1 by March 2020.

Those who wish to experience the Central Park and Gardens of Light are welcome to visit Gamuda Gardens Halloween De La Coco event on Nov 2 and 3 (3pm-9pm) at Gamuda Gardens Experience Gallery. For more information, visit or call 03-6037 2888.
