Trash skimmer boats to collect waste

JOHOR BARU: The state government will place two trash skimmer boats at Sungai Skudai and Sungai Tebrau starting early next year, to clean the polluted rivers.

Johor international trade, investment and utility committee chairman Jimmy Puah Wee Tse said the boats cost about RM1.5mil each and will operate daily.
