Across the Pecipta categories, MSU finished with seven medals in the Innovation category, three in the Commercialisation category, and one in the Fundamental category.

Pecipta’s Innovation awards are for innovative products, services, or technologies already in use but with one step to commercialisation.

For the Commercialisation category, the products/services/technologies must have completed all development stages and ready for commercialisation or have already been commercialised.

In the Fundamental category, the product/service/technology research must have been completed with proof of concept and also lab experiment validation.

MSU’s Pecipta 2019 gold medallists, respectively in the Innovation and Commercialisation categories, are FISE’s Future Vision and FHLS’s AkuaRiz Gamat Extract.

TILES and T-Rex the Explorer, both from SESS, brought two more silver medals through the Innovation category; both also won a silver medal each in MTE 2019 as well as a bronze in Perintis 2018.

FISE’s ESP-ark, a new cellular automation method for automatic search of indoor and outdoor parking, gave MSU its fifth silver in the Innovation category. ESP-ark bagged a gold medal for research achievement this year.

Three bronze medals to MSU from Pecipta 2019 Innovation category were for SESS’s Circus of Speech and Cogency and also FHLS’s KiSyn W Mat. Circus of Speech won a Platinum Award at Inside UM 2019 and a bronze in Perintis 2018. KiSyn W Mat bagged a silver in Perintis 2018 and a bronze in MPI 2018.
