Organised by the Dance Centre, the concert is to take place at the Perak RTM Auditorium in Ipoh on Nov 17.
Event spokesperson Goh Siew Ying said they hoped to raise about RM100,000 for the non-profit, non-governmental organisation to cover its operating expenses.
“PPCS provides free services regardless of age, race and religion and relies mainly on public donations to cover its expenses,” she said.“It is a meaningful event, helping those in need while also exposing young dancers from our centre in performing arts.
PPCS provides palliative care to terminally ill cancer patients.
They also make home visits to patients, providing pain and symptom control, while equipping carers with skills and knowledge to better care for patients at home.
They also loan medical equipment, including surgical beds, wheelchair, oxygen concentrator and ripple mattresses to those in need for free.
PPCS serves about 200 patients on average monthly with monthly expenses of about RM45,000.
Goh said those interested could call the centre at 05-545 9480 or visit its Facebook or Instagram page Dance Centre, Ipoh for updates.
Those wanting to make a donation to PPCS can call 05-546 4732 or go to 54, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Ipoh.
