The Synergy 2019 appreciation party was held at Ruyi & Lyn in Bangsar Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

STAR Media Radio Group (SMRG) threw a party to thank clients and partners for their loyalty -– a company tradition since 2010.

This year, the event was held at Ruyi & Lyn in Bangsar Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur, and led by Star Media Group chief executive officer Andreas Vogiatzakis.

“Today’s appreciation party is just a humble way of thanking our clients and partners that have been with us for many years.

“They have helped us grow and we, on the other hand, helped them build their audience and connect with their customers.

“We are offering a one-year free radio advertising for the winner of the grand prize draw, which is quite impressive. I believe our clients deserve the chance to win it and this is our way of saying thank you, ” he added.

Among the main highlights of the annual appreciation party this year was a showcase of Synergy+ 2020 Renewal Packages.

SMRG revenue general manager Mindy Chia said the packages were available to existing clients and could be redeemed for next year’s radio advertising.

“The packages provided are special because renewal clients get rate protection with very attractive prices. Our pricing is very suitable for small and medium enterprises that are interested in trying out radio advertising, ” she said.

For clients that have bought the main radio packages for next year, either for single station (988 or Suria) or a combination of both 988 and Suria, one grand prize awaits them in next year’s event.

And unlike before where clients can only buy two synergy packages, there is no limit this time around.

With one entry per single station and two entries for combo station, clients are encouraged to buy their preferred packages before Oct 21 to stand a chance to win next year’s Synergy+ grand prize.

“Synergy+ is all about pre-selling and securing for next year’s airtime with very good rates because we are well aware that our clients are constantly looking for greater ROI and cost effective packages for their advertising needs at this time of the year/when they are planning out their budget for next year.

The event also saw the introduction of 988’s new app with enhanced features such as radio streaming, podcasts, live studio and rewards.

Listeners can now get updates on news through the app and catch up on radio segments that they have missed, going back up to seven days.

The Synergy+ grand prize at this year’s appreciation event was won by Herbalceutical (M) Sdn Bhd which would get to utilise their one-year free advertising with Suria FM.

Herbalceutical advertising and promotions manager Chu Chee Yin said the win came as a surprise.”We have been purchasing Synergy+ packages since 2010 and this is our first win.

“It is great that we get to use Suria FM as our radio advertising platform because as a company that sells healthcare products, our target market is working adults and they make up the majority of Suria FM listeners, ” she added.
