JOHOR BARU: The Johor Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) has rescued 553 protected tortoises in two separate raids carried out in Batu Pahat.
Director Salman Saaban said following a public tip-off, the department conducted raids in Taman Seri Berkat and Taman Puteri in Batu Pahat at around 4pm on Monday.
