No more serving plastic straws

FOOD and beverage premises that are still serving customers with plastic straws will automatically be issued a compound of RM250.

Seberang Prai City Council (MBSP) mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud said enforcement of the ‘no plastic straws’ ruling, imposed under Section 107 (2) of the Local Government Act 1976, will take effect on April 1, next year.
