PUTRAJAYA Corporation (PPj) is hosting three programmes under one roof to encourage the public to find out more about government services.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar officiated at the pre-launch ceremony of Putrajaya Open Day, Putrajaya Carnival as well as Digital Putrajaya Exhibition and Conference (DiPEC) 2019 at Seri Siantan Hall in Putrajaya, witnessed by PPj president Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim.

Themed “A Day with the People, Providing 1001 Services, ” the events will be held in collaboration with the office of the Chief Secretary to the Government.

Aminuddin said Putrajaya Open Day on Oct 5 would involve services offered by 23 ministries and over 90 government agencies.

“The public can visit any of the ministries and government agencies during Putrajaya Open Day.

“This is so the public can familiarise themselves with government services, ” he said.

Discounts on traffic summons, free RFID installation and a career carnival, to name a few, are such services that will be offered.

There will also be an exhibition by the Malaysian Armed Forces besides a Putrajaya Animal Lovers Fiesta.

Meanwhile, the Putrajaya Carnival (formerly known as Community Carnival) will be held on Oct 4 with the theme “Towards A Prosperous Community.”

“We will collaborate with the Residents Representative Council in Putrajaya to organise 37 events encompassing fitness activities, performances and competitions to strengthen the bond with our community, ” said Aminuddin.

DiPEC will be a three-day event starting on Oct 3 with the theme “Building A Smarter City for the Rakyat.” Admission is free.

The event will showcase more than 50 technology-based exhibitors from government and private sectors and more than 30 presenters will talk about smart city technology.

“This event is a contribution towards building a smarter city to serve the community.

“All three events will enable us to connect to our stakeholders in the private sector to boost their businesses and increase job opportunities for Malaysians, ” said Dr Ismail.

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is expected to launch the events on Oct 3 at Seri Siantan Hall.

Putrajaya Open Day and Putrajaya Carnival will be held from 8am to 10pm on their respective days at Dataran Putrajaya in Precinct 3.
