Stem cell hero saves sisters’ lives

JOHOR BARU: When the call to step forward and become a stem cell donor presented itself, he stood up and answered it not once, but twice.

Father of three Zahari Mansur, 43, received a call from Ampang Hospital in 2009 after he was found to be a suitable stem cell donor for a patient suffering from myelofibrosis. The patient turned out to be his sister, 51-year-old Zabiha.
