SIBU: Most eateries here have stopped giving out plastic straws when serving beverages to their customers, even before the implementation of the ban on Jan 1 next year.
Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Clarence Ting said he had received positive feedback from coffeeshop operators on the council’s decision to ban plastic straws.
