Online platform makes it easier to finalise travel plans

Yap introducing Parlo Tours Sdn Bhd’s latest addition, T-Broker Marketplace.

TO REINFORCE its position as a market leader in the travel and tourism industry, Parlo Tours Sdn Bhd has launched T-Broker Marketplace, a business-to-business (B2B) online platform.

Open to all existing and new tour agents, the integrated distribution channel gives access to live inventories, making it easier for travel agents to sell the company’s products.

“Prior to this, there were many phone calls going back and forth by agents to check with us on the availability of our products which could only be done during office hours.

“Now with T-Broker Marketplace, agents can have access to it 24/7 to check on tour packages, special deals or travel services offered by the company and its travel partners.

“We plan to provide different offerings to agents such as travel insurance and flexible independent travel (FIT) package components in the future, ” said Parlo Bhd chief executive officer Dani Yap, adding that better travel deals can be found on the platform.

Among other highlights within the platform is the upcoming trip planner feature, which enables agents to plan itineraries seamlessly.

“With just a few clicks, agents can have their trip itineraries set in 10 minutes, compared to the conventional way which can take up to 14 days.

“Having this available is in line with today’s fast-paced lifestyle.

“We are confident this platform will help increase the closing rate of sales for our agents, ” said Yap.

Aside from an agent helpline, they can also find self-learning tools such as the e-library to help them better understand the platform.

Yap said T-Broker Marketplace will allow the company to go borderless.

“This platform is catered tolocal agents. We are working towards curating the platform for different countries by collaborating with overseas travel management partners such as Singapore and Thailand, ” he said.

“Above all, T-Broker Marketplace allows the company to empower smaller agencies by providing them with the manpower and skills to flourish in the industry when working with us.

“Currently, there are 250 agents on board and we are targeting at least 500 agents by the end of this year.

“We are confident agents will be attracted to this new service as they can increase their efficiency and earn more at the same time.

“We have plans to open the platform to companies by the end of this year and we may even make it available to end consumers depending on the response, ” said Yap.
