Sweet scent of blessings


Devotees with the 150m-long flower garland that they help tie on the eve of the grand consecration ceremony at the temple in Seberang Jaya.

A LARGE crowd thronged the newly renovated Arulmigu Karumariamman Temple in Jalan Todak, Seberang Jaya, Penang, for its second Maha Kumbabhishegam (grand consecration ceremony).

Besides witnessing the momentous ceremony, devotees from various parts of the country also received blessings by getting holy water sprinkled from the top of the rajagoburam (monumental tower) and the goburam (tower) of the main shrine of the temple on Malaysia Day.
