WOMENBIZSENSE is celebrating its 13th anniversary with a ‘Retro Night: Back to the 70s and 80s’ themed fundraising dinner and dance in Penang.

Some 150 entrepreneurs will be dressed in their best for the event, to be held on Oct 5 at the ballroom of Olive Tree Hotel in Bayan Baru.

Funds raised will support the bus fares of children from the House of Hope.

The association has been sponsoring their yearly bus fares since 2015, and hope to continue doing so for more children so they can attend school.

This was announced at a recent press conference by the organising committee which included chairwoman Tammy Yeoh, association co-founder Krista Goon, president Gina Koay, assistant secretary Arene Cheok and treasurer Low Jin Ting.

WomenBizSENSE is a women’s entrepreneur association based in Penang, aimed at connecting women of different ages and backgrounds to learn and share with each other as they grow their businesses.

This year’s dinner and dance will be the first time it is open to men. It will be emceed by the trilingual Joanne Tan and features an exciting programme.

British deejay Carl Hinds will spin the hottest tunes of the 1970s and 80s to get everyone grooved up on the dance floor.

There will be a fashion show by Malaysian brand Farfalla shoes and jeweller Amee Philips. The latter has sponsored a RM5,000 piece of jewellery from its Amee versatile collection as the lucky draw grand prize.

There would also be prizes for the best dressed.

The night is also a good opportunity for attendees to network with other entrepreneurs.

Tickets are priced at RM180 each. For more information, visit www.WomenBizSense.com.
