A HEALTHY treat awaits participants of Penang Starwalk 2019 in the form of nutritious and tasty Captain Instant Rolled Oats (Plain).

A strong supporter of both the Penang and Ipoh Starwalk since 2013, Federal Oats Mills Sdn Bhd (FOM) is contributing 20,000 sachets of their new product worth a total of RM10,600.

Its general manager (sales and operations) Giam Boon Pin said Captain Oats and Starwalk go hand-in-hand in promoting a healthy lifestyle and a healthy diet.

“Made from 100% natural premium Australian oats, the Instant Rolled Oats can provide consumers with the same nutrients as rolled oats in just three minutes!

“A great source of energy, rolled oats are higher in whole grain and dietary fibre as well as being naturally cholesterol free. Convenient and healthy, the instant range of oats are easy to prepare and versatile.”

He said this after handing over the sponsorship to Star Media Group client brand marketing representative Mohammad Shohib Ahmad Ibrahim at the FOM office in the Mak Mandin Industrial Estate.

FOM marketing executive Ivan Lam, who will be taking part in the walk, was also present.

Giam added that Captain Oats, a ‘Made in Malaysia for Malaysians’ brand, is celebrating its 54th anniversary this year.

“FOM will be launching new products to bring more healthy goodness of oats to consumers. Our new manufacturing plant within the Penang International Halal Hub Food Zone in Batu Kawan will start operations next year.”

Spanning 6.7 acres, the state-of-the-art plant with fully automated production and packing systems will cater for three expansion phases to meet the growing global demand for oats.

He said the new plant will be FSSC22000 and BRC compliant, allowing FOM to achieve the export standards required by European Union countries.

The company is already exporting its products to 35 countries across South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Greater China.
