Timely deals on air purifiers

RACHANA Babar was searching high and low for an air purifier only to find that most places had run out of stock.

“When I saw a Perfect Livin’ home expo poster advertising air purifiers, I decided to come early with my family.

“The haze is still bad and luckily, I managed to get one for the home at the expo, ” said the 40-year-old housewife.

“It is my first time here and I am able to make it because my two boys do not have to go to school because of the haze.

“We also wanted to shop for some furniture.”

Another visitor Valerie Chang, 31, said the expo has everything under one roof.

“There are a lot of brands here and many products to choose from.

“I am looking for mattresses but it is rather difficult to choose as exhibitors are offering competitive deals, ” she said.

Perfect Livin’ is being held at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Jalan Dutamas 2, Kuala Lumpur, until tomorrow.

I.Star Ideas Factory Sdn Bhd director Jason Yap said the expo was timely for houseowners who wanted to refurbish their properties as well as for those in search of air purifiers.

“Perfect Livin’ is the only major home expo held in September and visitors will be spoilt for choice with a myriad home solutions and irresistible deals.

“It is the best place for visitors to compare prices and we are having it at Mitec for the first time, due to popular demand from visitors and exhibitors.

“We are expecting some 80,000 visitors over three days with RM40mil to RM50mil in sales.

“The exhibition halls are spacious and are a great place for a family outing, ” he added.

The organiser has also kicked off the Air Purifiers Sale Fest owing the current haze.

“We are giving away a multifunctional Sharp Air Purifier worth RM2,999 in the Tag Share and Win contest.

“One winner will be chosen at random tomorrow at 6pm.

“There is also a wide range of air-purifying products that visitors can choose from for their homes, ” said Yap.

Exhibitors are offering hard-to-resist deals at their respective booths.

At the Joven booth, visitors can expect expo-exclusive deals such as the 838P water heater with pump at RM409 and storage heater JH50 at RM759. Those who make purchases can also participate in the Spin and Win contest for more freebies.

At the ELK-Desa booth, which is showcasing imported full leather sofas and wooden dining tables made of Acacia wood, Walnut, and solid wood, packaged deals at RM8,998 for two- and three-seater full leather sofas are up for grabs.

Telescopic ladders that come with auto-lock are also available from RM1,100 onwards.

Visitors should not miss out on happy hour deals from 5pm to 7pm daily, when products such as Kenwood mixers, toasters and jug kettles, Samsung vacuum cleaners, Sharp ceiling fans and washers, Panasonic hair straighteners and Blueair air purifiers start from RM99.

Registered visitors stand a chance to win a Marshall stockwell Travel Speaker worth RM1,269 while those who make purchases worth RM500 and above will be entitled to a guaranteed gift.

The home expo is featuring several feng shui talks, namely “How To Feng Shui Your Dream Home” with Master Edward Chin (today at 3pm), “Attract Wealth Energy At Home” with Master Ern Cher (tomorrow at noon) and “Good Feng Shui Integration and New World Order” with Master Kenny Hoo
 (tomorrow at 3pm).

A Kiddy Colouring Contest for children takes place at Mitec’s main foyer today and tomorrow at 2pm.

Besides the Mitec carpark, visitors can also park their vehicles at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre where free shuttle vans will transport visitors to the expo.

The Perfect Livin’ Home Expo opens from 11am to 9pm. Admission is free.

Each day, the first 500 registered visitors will get a limited edition of Perfect Livin Dry Bag 2L for free.
