Fitness buffs at the upcoming Penang Starwalk 2019 will stand a chance of winning the latest edition of a Swiss-made Luminox watch.

Crystal Time (M) Sdn Bhd is back to sponsor a watch from the Luminox Navy Seals 3600 Series for the 42nd edition of the walk this year.

The Luminox Navy Seals 3600 Series is officially licensed by the Department of Navy and was created with input from US Navy Seals.

“The Navy Seals 3600 Series is the first to have the new vertical arrangement of Luminox proprietary light technology that uses tritium light tubes.

“This results in a different look, opening up the dial while guaranteeing up to 25 years of ultimate night visibility, ” said Crystal Time retail operations manager Edmen Sow after handing over the sponsored product to Star Media Group creative solutions (ideation) senior executive Lisa Chong at Menara Star in Petaling Jaya.

Sow said the Luminox watch, priced at RM2,510, was available in the market in three colours.

Apart from the Luminox watch, Crystal Time is also sponsoring seven watches by American brand Soleus worth RM10,735 for Starwalk participants.

“It is great to be a part of the event again and we look forward to meeting the lucky winners.

“We are the sole distributor of Luminox watches in Malaysia and we distribute timepieces by six other brands too, ” he added.

The six brands are Edox, Claude Bernard, Soleus, Columbia, Katharine Hamnett and Lee.

Crystal Time is the sole distributor of several branded watches in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

“We want to promote a healthy lifestyle to Malaysians and show our appreciation to our customers for their continuous support for over 30 years, ” said Sow.

Penang Starwalk 2019, which is organised by Star Media Group, will be held at Gurney Drive on Sept 22.

Gurney Paragon Mall is the venue provider while F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd is the official beverage partner.

Citizen Watches (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is the official timekeeper.

The event’s platinum sponsor is YTL Communications Sdn Bhd while Tenaga Nasional Bhd is the gold sponsor.

Silver sponsors are Indofood (M) Food Industries Sdn Bhd, Wiitrac Elevator Sdn Bhd, BookDoc, Penang Turf Club and Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd.

Register online at http://sites.thestar.com.my/starwalk/ or go to The Star Pitt St in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, or Star Northern Hub in Bayan Lepas from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, except public holidays.

The fee is RM30 per person, RM20 for students (registration through schools only) and senior citizens (60 and above).

Besides a quick-dry T-shirt and goodie bags, participants who complete the walk will receive a certificate and a chance to win attractive prizes.

Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas is expected to flag off the event.
