MORE than 150 former employees attended the 11th annual United Asian Bank (UAB) fellowship gathering at The Royal Lake Club in Kuala Lumpur.

It was a memorable and lively event, as participants met many of their old friends from the banking industry after losing contact with each other.

The event culminated with the formal inauguration ceremony of the Alumni Former Employees of United Asian Bank Berhad Malaysia Association by Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz.

Also present were CIMB Bank Berhad chairman Datuk Zainal Abidin Putih, his wife Datin Jasmin Zainal Abidin, UAB Alumni patron Tan Sri Kishu Tirathrai, Puan Sri Mona Tirathrai, chairman Silas M. Das and deputy chairman V. Ganesan and Jayanti Ganesan.

In her speech, Rafidah emphasised the importance of the family institution and digitalisation as it was a fast-moving world with technology.
