WHEN housewife Lee Mee Yoong first moved into her house in Jalan Antoi Kanan 1, Kepong, there were hardly any public amenities in the area.
“It was dark at night, with no street lights and road signs. There were no shops and market nearby either, ” said Mee Yoong, adding that she had to walk quite a distance to catch a bus to Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur to do her shopping in those days.
