State to welcome 3,000 urban forum delegates


PENANG will be hosting the largest and most diverse edition of the Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-7) from Oct 15 to 17, says state local government committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.

He said the forum themed “Future of Asia and Pacific Cities: Transfor-mative Pathways to Achieve 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Develop-ment”, was expecting over 3,000 participants from China, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Bangladesh and India, among others.
