Roadshows promoting latest smartphone draw long queues

Interest in the new Samsung Galaxy Note10 was evident from the huge crowd of excited customers during the roadshow at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur.

THE excitement of owning the new Samsung Galaxy Note10 has seen people queuing up for hours at Samsung Malaysia Electronic’s roadshows for a chance to be one of the first to own the latest device.

The roadshows were held to celebrate the arrival of the Galaxy Note10 or Galaxy Note10+.

The proud owners of the new devices also brought home complimentary gifts such as the Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Watch Active and Battery Pack worth up to RM1,248.

The roadshows were held concurrently at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur; East Cost Mall in Kuantan, Pahang; Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Baru, Johor; Queensbay Mall in Penang; and IMAGO Shopping Mall in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Sisters Amuthameena and Arishankery Manoharan were first in line at the Mid Valley Megamall roadshow.

They started a makeshift queue at 2am in anticipation of the crowd.

The duo, who are doctors at Hospital Pekan Kuantan in Pahang and Hospital Kemaman, Terengganu, drove all the way to Kuala Lumpur to get their hands on the Galaxy Note10+ at the roadshow.

“We have been Note fans since the Galaxy Note2.

“The S Pen and long-lasting battery have been incredibly helpful, especially in our field of work, and have been a life-saver in more than one occasion, ” said 30-year-old Arishankery.

Also in the queue was businessman and Note fan Shinji See, 33.

“I rely heavily on my phone for entertainment and this makes the Galaxy Note10+ the best phone for me. The Infinity Display’s quality and high resolution make the viewing experience absolutely fantastic for streamers like me.”

Meanwhile, best friends Eric Capel, 29, and Zulfadhli, 27, were iPhone users who decided to make the switch to experience the Galaxy Note.

Fans visiting the Kuala Lumpur roadshow also had an opportunity to meet and greet local influencers Jenn Chia, Marianne Tan, Jazel Lim and Brandon Ho.
