POLITICAL analyst and veteran newsman Datuk Dr Cheah See Kian has launched a book titled ‘Maritime Silk Road: Rethinking of the Political Impact on China and Malaysian Chinese’.
The 376-page book details the Opium War and explains the migration of the Chinese to Southeast Asia which lead to the formation of overseas Chinese communities.
